María Alejandra Serrate Jáuregui is a Bolivian activist dedicated to defending democracy, human rights, and political freedom. She co-founded Resistencia Femenina Bolivia in 2017, a women-led movement promoting democratic values and civic engagement. Recognized for her activism, she was selected for the U.S. State Department’s IVLP program and the Human Rights Foundation Fellowship. She continues to fight for political prisoners in Bolivia and works to ensure justice and democratic integrity in her country.
