Fatou Jaw Manneh is a Gambian human rights, environmental, and political activist, writer, and former journalist with more than two decades of experience advocating for democracy, good governance, transparency, and social justice. She is the founder of Maafanta.com and has dedicated much of her life to amplifying the voices of ordinary Gambians while championing women's empowerment, youth development, environmental protection, and diaspora engagement. A graduate in International Business Management with a background in management and public service, Fatou is an independent presidential candidate for The Gambia's 2026 election, committed to building a nation founded on integrity, accountability, equal opportunity, quality education, accessible healthcare, and inclusive economic growth for all Gambians.
