Daria Minsky is a Belarusian media entrepreneur, AI consultant, and lecturer whose work focuses on information integrity and trusted data infrastructure for artificial intelligence. She specializes in environments where reliable data is scarce, fragmented, censored, or distorted by propaganda — the conditions independent Belarusian and Russian journalists now work under from exile. Her experience spans independent media leadership, newsroom AI strategy, research, and education.
Minsky is building a monitoring tool that lets exiled newsrooms track hyper-local sources such as Telegram channels while holding to their own terminology, a response to a problem she states plainly: models trained on whatever is most abundant online tend to reproduce the state's version of events. Her own example is the word Belarusian, where the spelling itself is contested and one model returns the democratic movement's form while another returns the Soviet-era one. She serves on the governing board of the European Humanities University, the Belarusian university the Lukashenko regime forced out of Minsk in 2004 and which has operated from Vilnius since, and she is a McCain Institute Global Leaders Fellow.
