Caitlin Forrest
Frontlines of Freedom Program Officer
Caitlin Forrest is a results-driven advancement professional with a passion for empowering nonprofits through innovative solutions and best practices. Prior to joining RDI, Caitlin spent two years in North Carolina supporting the development teams at the Council for Children’s Rights and Charlotte’s NPR News Station, WFAE, to streamline their internal processes and donor communication strategies. Caitlin previously spent several years in Washington, D.C. at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), a non-profit think-tank focused on advancing an informed understanding of military affairs through reliable research, trusted analysis, and innovative education. As their Director of Operations, Caitlin led a team of associates to standardize business and production processes, meet requirements for six-figure grant projects, and expand educational programming and events. Before transitioning to business operations, Caitlin was a Counterterrorism Research Analyst at ISW focused on the Taliban and ISIS in Afghanistan. She published ISW’s Afghanistan Partial Threat Assessment map series, and her work has been featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post, Reuters, and others.
