Ilya is currently head of multi-asset solutions research at Bank of New York (BNY) Investments, where he leads a team that develops and enhances market forecasts and portfolio allocations.
Before joining BNY, Ilya started and led the multi-asset class strategies business at Acadian Asset Management. Previously he spent 11 years at AllianceBernstein, where he helped start the multi-asset solutions business and served as its director of research and portfolio manager.
Ilya has spoken at major investment industry conferences and was interviewed for industry publications. He published research articles on portfolio construction, momentum strategies and options strategies in refereed journals.
Ilya has an MS in Mathematics of Finance from New York University’s Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences and a BS in Systems Engineering from Washington University. He is a CFA charter holder.
Outside of work, Ilya is a chess enthusiast and holds the title of national chess master. He also enjoys coaching children’s sports and playing tennis.
