Kathy Nalywajko is a nationally recognized wealth management executive who has spent more than thirty years advising ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families on the stewardship of complex wealth, including on governance and philanthropy. She is a Senior Wealth Consultant & Managing Director at the NYC office of MAI Capital Management, a national $80B wealth management firm.
In addition to her financial career, Ms. Nalywajko serves as President of the Ukrainian Institute of America where she is an outspoken advocate for Ukraine and for the role of culture and civil society in defending democracy. Under her leadership, the Institute has strengthened its role as a renowned center for cultural diplomacy, bringing together thought leaders, diplomats, scholars, business executives, and cultural figures to foster a greater understanding of Ukraine and the values it is defending. In recognition of her work, in 2025, she was the recipient of the Order of Princess Olga, III Degree, awarded by the President of Ukraine.
Ms. Nalywajko received her MBA from Columbia Business School and a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Barnard College. She lives in New York City with her daughter, Andrea, who is a student of Political Science and Voice & Opera at Northwestern University.
