Ukrainian forces are advancing in the northeast region, aggressively pushing back the Russian military. General Petraeus discusses the Russian response as they attempt to recover, highlighting the discord among Russian elites and even propagandists where people are ready to blame anyone––the military, the defense ministry, the intelligence community––except, of course, Vladimir Putin.
Ukrainians have tasted victory and are harnessing their impressive momentum to push towards the total liberation of their territory. Many challenges lie ahead for Ukraine, but General Petraeus acknowledges Ukrainian resolve and is impressed by their endurance. While nothing can replace that fighting spirit, continued military aid remains fundamental to Ukraine’s ability to end Russian occupation.
